Hello, world!
I am Andrio Celos, an angel (Celestrian specifically) software engineer and casual gamer reaching out from Australia. My pronouns are he/him or they/them.
I am making this blog to document my adventures as a nerd and a Linux daily driver, and in particular gaming on Linux. I will occasionally publish other posts here as I feel the need to, though.
I hope it will help anyone, even if it’s just myself to remember things.
Note: Articles on this blog are not static and may be edited with new information and solutions. I will try to make it clear when this has happened.
My PC specs
I built my own PC in early 2026, as my second custom build. I like to think it’s a solid mid-to-high-end gaming and streaming setup.
- Motherboard: ASRock X870 Riptide WiFi
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (16 GB VRAM)
- RAM: 32 GB DDR5
- Keyboard: SteelSeries Apex 7
- Mouse: SteelSeries Rival 5
- Capture card: AVerMedia Live Gamer Extreme 3
I am also using a modified Steam Deck and Steam Frame for VR.
Which Linux distribution?
Currently I’m using a dual boot setup with Bazzite Linux on one side and Windows 11 on the other. The Windows installation is currently used only for a Unity project that’s broken on Linux, and one game, Visual Pinball X. Expect an article about that soon.
I finally got the push to move off of Windows shortly after I built this PC, where Windows refused to accept the license from my Microsoft account. I had already been experimenting with Linux in case of issues just like this.
My Steam Deck also runs Bazzite.
I would also recommend CachyOS and Linux Mint as I have had good experiences with these distributions previously.
